#MagnumNowOrNever as Magnum Manila Closes on July 26

They say that all great things must come to an end. And after 15 months, we are nearing the close of the limited edition pop-up concept, Magnum Manila. This special brand activation, which had opened previously in London, Paris, and Brazil, did not disappoint in bringing the ultimate Magnum brand experience here in Manila. I was actually one of the few people who witnessed how big this concept has been.

What started on April 8, 2014, the hallway of Sky Park at Aura was filled with people eagerly lining up to have a taste of the Belgian chocolate creations. Through Magnum Manila’s signature, Make My Magnum, pleasure-seekers are to take their favorite ice cream bar, and turn it into a unique masterpiece according to their liking. I even dragged my besties during my birthday so they can also have the perfect Belgian Ice Cream experience.

Chef Miko Aspiras
Aside from the long lines of Make Your Own Magnum, customers also indulged in the Belgian Chocolate creations of award winning pastry chef Miko Aspiras - my favorite, Pink Friday and Rainbow Dream -and enjoyed savoury dishes made by Chef Him Uy de Baron.

Using over 6,820 pounds of chocolate in to date, every visit to Magnum Manila is a true Belgian chocolate experience. Guests have enjoyed all these gastronomic selections while basking in the ambience of the sleek modern interiors designed by Ed Calma. Falling in line was definitely worth their while as customers got to experience only the finest masterpieces of Manila’s greatest talents.

For fifteen months, Magnum Manila has brought the Magnum brand to life for the Filipino consumers, and has actually become a global benchmark for Magnum pop-up stores around the world. In particular, other Southeast Asian pop-up stores have been patterned after Magnum Manila. Named as one of the top restaurants of 2014 for dessert, Magnum Manila has had an amazing run.

But as a pop-up store, Magnum Manila is due to close by July 26, 2015. It has been the Magnum team’s greatest pleasure to have been given the opportunity to create a remarkable experience for all of the pleasure seekers who have dropped by in the last year.

While it is not yet too late to experience the pleasure of Magnum Manila, here are the latest Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream creations that you can definitely enjoy:

Magnum Anniversary Cake
Crepe de Jour
Campfire S'mores
Make My Heart Melt
