Manny Pacquiao Renews Commitment with Habitat for Humanity


New year signals new hope. And this 2015, People's Champ, Manny Pacquiao renewed his commitment to be an ambassador and spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity Philippines. He recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement last January 5, indicating his support for the "WeBuild Campaign", to kick off this year.

The MOA also outlines his 5M donation which will be used to partially fund 195 housea for families in Glan, Sarangani. These families are composed of fisherfolks and sari sari store vendors that will be living in "Pacman-Tata Yap Ville" in Barangay Tango in Glan. 

The duplex unit that were to be built is 32 square metres on an 80-square metre lot area. The 2.8 hectare site also includes a multipurpose centre, a community park and a concrete stage that can be used for special events.


To further develop this project, Pacquiao also announced his plans to purchase more land for permanent houses, much to delight of his constituents.
