Ariel is the Proud Keeper of the Philippines' Colors

Do you know that you can be part of the London 2012 Olympic Games? Ariel makes it possible for every Filipino to support our athletes by simply giving a piece of your shirt back.

Last June 24, everyone was invited to the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall for a day-long event by giving a piece of their shirt to help create the Philippine Flag as a gift to our athletes as they compete in London. Blue, red, yellow and white shirts, with the vibrant Ariel Color Style was needed to make the flag as they would proudly wave it for the world to see.

People came in the hundreds in their red, yellow, blue, and white shirts. Assistants cut a uniform square piece from each of the shirts, and gave donors the option to cover the square with a patch stating, “Ariel: Proud Keeper of the Philippines’ Colors”. Each patch cost only P50, and all proceeds were also donated to the Philippine athletes.

The campaign launch introduced the Philippine Olympic athletes Hidilyn Diaz, Jasmine Alkhaldi, Rene Herrera, and Jessie Lacuna to the audience, and they gave a piece of their own shirts as well. GMA artists also showed their support as they gave a piece of their favorite shirt. The crowd was entertained by Escola de Samba de Manila and 6CycleMind.

But if your werent able to join the festivities at the SM Mall of Asia, you could still send your support as collection of your shirt pieces is still on-going at Metropole Laundry and Dry Cleaning outlets, and Team Manila stores up to July 2, 2012. The replacement Proud Keeper patches are also available for P50, and Team Manila also has special edition t-shirts for sale. Proceeds of all patches and t-shirts sold go to the Philippine Olympians.
