On The Go? Then Samsung Galaxy Tab is the Right Gadget for You

My life is very, very hectic. I have a full time job at a bank, I sometimes attend blogger events when I get invited and I do a freelance job at home. And most of the time, commuting is so time consuming that when a thought or two comes in my head for an article and I'm still in the LRT or MRT, I forget them when I get home.
When my handy-dandy phones fail, I need something to back me up and write even inside a moving vehicle (Yup, that's how workaholic I am!). And while my planner can accommodate that need, I still have to retype it and believe me, it doesn't cut the time in half.

So I think I need to invest in a device that can do those and more. Luckily, SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB is the best choice that I'm rooting for. Amazing features, a multitasking gadget, a media player and a mobile phone in one package. And my boss might even get amazed for a load of work done in one day!

Like Carlos Celdran (Manila tour guide/historian) and JP Tuason (Founder and CEO of Tuason Racing School and TRS Driver Development Academy), many are believers of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Check out their testimonies below:

Getting around the complexities of everyday living and juggling tons of responsibilities while doing daily tasks could be difficult to manage. In today’s fast-paced world, everybody could use a little help.

JP Tuason, Founder and CEO of Tuason Racing School and TRS Driver Development Academy, and one of the most controversial Manila tour guide/historian Carlos Celdran lead extremely busy lives. Having to do multiple tasks at a time, both of them are always on the go, and every minute to them is valuable. To breeze through their day to day activities, Carlos and JP have found the help that they need in Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The controversial Carlos Celdran knows Manila’s history all too well. Better still is his fusion of music, theater and comedy into his dynamic and interactive tours of Manila making it the complete package just like his Samsung Galaxy Tab .

“Its an all-in-one device. It’s a laptop, camera and mobile phone all rolled into one gadget,” says Celdran. “I don’t need to bring anything else when I go around,” he adds. Operating on Android 2.2 (Froyo) the Samsung Galaxy Tab measures a mere 190.09mm x 120.45mm x 11.98mm and weighs in at just 380g making it smaller and lighter than any notebook computer yet handy enough to stuff into a small bag.

“My favorite thing about it is that it’s sturdy. It’s not delicate. And it is strong enough to withstand all the hits and bangs of my lifestyle,” says Celdran

Celdran, who often works the streets of Binondo and Intramurous, as it’s most sought after tour guide cum historian and now public figure, is regularly seen wearing a hat, a portable sound system and a shoulder bag, literally takes his office with him wherever he goes nowadays.

“Its like my office goes around with me. Simply because of the telephone feature it has made it an integral part of my existence,” he remarks. The Galaxy Tab is currently the only tablet device with voice telephony taking mobile communication to a whole new level. “Its like a personal assistant,” he compares. “Its always there when you need it and it gets the job done. For my presentations its great too!”

What Celdran likes in particular is the Galaxy Tab’s one-touch functionality of getting photos from either the front or back built-in cameras on to his social network of Facebook and Twitter. While the front-facing camera (1.3MP) allows face-to-face video telephony over 3G, the rear-facing camera (3MP with auto-focus and LED flash) captures still images and video that you can edit, upload and share, all without any hassle. “I can show YouTube videos on it (while on the go)” he shares among the multiple things he can do on the Galaxy Tab. The handheld gadget is also capable of full HD video playback with its 7.0 inch TFT-LCD, WSVGA (1024 x 600) display.

Among his favorites apps are Facebook, Twitter, Hotmail, and yes, Angry Birds too! “Don’t underestimate the Samsung Galaxy Tab. It goes beyond the call of duty,” attests Celdran. With thousands of free apps available in the Android market the possibilities on the Samsung Galaxy Tab are endless, almost.

JP Tuason, Founder and CEO of Tuason Racing School and TRS Driver Development Academy, is always looking to be cutting edge in racing and in educating Filipino motorists. The same is true when it comes to his gadgets.

“TRS is always innovating. We like to be progressive and the marriage of speed and technology with motorsports keeps us in the lead both on and off the track,” shares Tuason, a Samsung Galaxy Tab user. In a sport where every millisecond counts, performance means everything. “I really like the size and functionality of the Galaxy Tab. There are many ways it fits very well in my motorsport lifestyle,” shares Tuason.

Operating on Android 2.2 (Froyo) the Samsung Galaxy Tab measures a mere 190.09mm x 120.45mm x 11.98mm and weighs in at just 380g making it smaller and lighter than any notebook computer giving it perfect portability even around the racetrack.

“I use the camera to take videos of my students on the track (then) play back their mistakes to be corrected,“ says Tuason referring to the Galaxy Tab’s 3MP rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash and full HD video playback with its 7.0 inch TFT-LCD, WSVGA (1024 x 600) display.

With thousands of free apps available in the Android market, the possibilities on the Samsung Galax Tab are endless, almost.

“I have a multiple driver stop watch (Multi Timer Pro) which helps me time competitors and keep track of how we are doing as a team,” he adds.

“I (also) use a drawing app (AnDrawing Plus) to explain race theories,” reveals the three-time karting champion and Asian Formula 3 driver.

A firm believer in the continuous pursuit of knowledge, Tuason attended top racing schools in the U.S. where he received advanced instruction from world-famous institutions such as Skip Barber Racing School, Richard Petty Driving and Michael Andretti Speed Lab before establishing TRS.

“The combination of the phone, camera and tablet (features) make it an all-in-one device which currently has no rivals,” he quips.

Like pushing the racecar to its safe limits, Tuason also maximizes his Galaxy Tab by using its spreadsheet and email functionalities.

“I have an unlimited data plan which allows me to go online and be connected wherever I am,” he says.

Ultimately, the device to Tuason is like a sports car. “(Its) very fast, looks good and draws a lot of attention.”
