A Day at the Cream Silk Transformations

What is your take on a #ModernFilipina? Mine is being confident and not letting anyone define you, but yourself. Last January 23, Cream Silk, the Philippines’ No. 1 hair care brand, launched its newest campaign: Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina. This day did not only let the Filipinas go beyond beautiful, but they also champion us women to strive to become the best version of ourselves.

As the gates open, the World Trade Center Tent transformed into a learning venue for us. Six top publications - Yes!, Metro, Cosmopolitan, Preview, Meg and Mega - held different talks and invited top industry leaders to empower women.

Yes! Magazine had Jonas Gaffud, to talk about being a star. At the Metro booth, top photographer Sara Black talked about looking your best in any photo. Cosmopolitan talked about modern Filipinas conquering new frontiers, while Preview had Pauline Juan and Isha Andaya to talk about the Evolution of Philippine Fashion and the Modern Filipina. Lastly, Meg helped us girls to unleash the girl boss in us, and Mega had tea time with Peewee Isidro to talk about styling.

Aside from these talks, they had head shot photo booths, hair analyzers, and blowouts by BLO. Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina At the Cream Silk lounge, guests completed the experience through hair transformations. To demonstrate that only Cream Silk can transform any hair problem to beyond beautiful hair, experts assessed hair needs, as well as recommended the best styles to highlight assets.

“Gone are the days of the Maria Clara, as women are slowly climbing up the ranks and embracing bigger and better roles for themselves. Today, the modern Filipina has become both a spotlight and a beacon,” shared Gina Lorenzana, Unilever’s Vice President for Personal Care. “She has evolved into a fearless and trailblazing individual determined to realize her dreams and make a positive mark in the world.”

As the grand finale, we have witnessed our first ever live cover shoot as they unveil the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas. Cream Silk and the top magazines styled and photographed the newest endorsers on stage, in front of event attendees. Joining Heart Evangelista on the covers of the publications’ March issues are the country’s leading ladies Nadine Lustre, Coleen Garcia, Julie Anne San Jose, Rachelle Ann Go and Yassi Pressman, who have all embarked on their own journeys of transformations.

To add, to the already impressive line up, Cream Silk also welcomed home Pia Wurtzbach, on her first Philippine appearance as Ms. Universe. Pia epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the Modern Filipina yet, set to conquer the universe! With a beauty that inspires, determined to realize her dreams, she has come back to make her positive mark in the world, taking her well deserved walk at Cream Silk’s event.

Join Cream Silk and these Modern Filipinas in inspiring and empowering others to experience their own transformations. Share your own experience on social media by posting “One of my #CreamSilkTranformations in 2016 is to___________.”
