Family Comes First with Jollibee

Have you heard of the Jollibee's Family Bee Day last May 10? It was a fun-filled afternoon held at Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan Park in Pampanga, Nuvali football grounds in Laguna, Plaza Independencia in Cebu and Crocodile Park in Davao, where thousands of families enjoyed the grandest picnic ever!

I was so glad that I was part of it, and had the chance to go with my brother and his girlfriend, Kat. But what I loved most about it, is hearing great performances while having my favorite Jollibee products!

“We are very excited to mount an event of this magnitude that celebrates the Filipinos’ love for bonding over good food. We are very happy with the turnout and pleased to see everyone enjoying the company of other people whom they treat like family. Talagang dito sa Jollibee, ang sarap maging pamilya,” said Jollibee vice-president for Marketing Harvey Ong.

At our turf in Quirino Grandstand in Manila, the performers were Martin Nievera, Klarisse de Guzman and Callalily. Meanwhile those who trooped to the Nuvali football grounds got star struck with Marian Rivera, Erik Santos and Moonstar88. Yum endorser Julia Barretto, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz and 6Cyclemind wowed audiences at the Bayanihan Park.

For the much farther venues, Gerald Anderson, Julie Ann San Jose and Sponge Cola thrilled families and friends at the Plaza Independencia while Maja Salvador, Slater Young and Imago entertained Jollibee Family Bee Day picnic-goers at the Crocodile Park.

Aside from the amazing performances, stilt walkers and appearances from Jollibee and friends highlighted the afternoon. Kids mostly enjoyed the event because they get to see their favorite Jollibee characters throughout the afternoon picnic. They also had the grandest time playing at the inflatable slide and basketball shootout.

Jollibee also introduced their newest family endorser that afternoon - none other than the Legazpi Family! Former endorser Carmina Villarroel-Legaspi came back home to Jollibee, now with her husband Zoren and her kids Mavy and Cassy.

During the interview, Carmina said she has waited for Jollibee to get her family to be the endorser because they all love the brand so much. Before she was asked, she has already conceptualized on how the TVCs will be and all. That's why she was so happy when the management tapped her, together with her husband and kids to finally do the family commercial. Truly, it looks very natural once you see them.
