SmartShop 2013 Features ArtWalk

One of the many influences we have in our country is art. May it be mainstream or not, these creations are meant to be seen and take inspiration from. This September 21-22, Zonta Club Makati & Environs will let you see the local artistic creations at the Rockwell Tent from 9am-9pm.

One of the featured galleries is Galeries Artes. It is a family run business managed by the daughters of Lydia Velasco. Nestled at Loyola Heights in Quezon City, it aims to advance the artistic creation and development of local artists by promoting Philippine art. They also feature new and contemporary artists, as well as established masters in their gallery.

Always a welcoming home to new talents, Galerie Francesca will showcase visual arts and developing artists. They helped launch the careers of recognized artists, Migs Villanueva and Jef Cablog by hosting their first one-man shows. Distinguished artists like Carlo Magno, Karina Baluyut, Roel Obemio, Anna de Leon, Robert Deniega, and Jinggoy Salcedo also exhibited here. Its second branch is in SM Megamall.

They have been operational for 7 years and hosted notable shows like Carlo Magno’s “Forest Allure,” Roel Obemio’s “Juanderland,” and Karina Baluyut’s “Ocean Jewels.” By being important and reliable outlet between artist and collector, Galerie Francesca takes its place as one of the premier art galleries in the country today.

Lastly, Artwalk also opened its doors  for Galleria Nicolas. It is located at the 3rd floor of Glorietta 4 Mall. And amidst elegant signature boutiques and exclusive shops in Makati City, Galleria Nicolas is dedicated to promoting the best of Philippine Art, with a wide collection of works done by some of the most sought-after painters and sculptors in the country such as Juvenal Sanso, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Dominic Rubio, Lydia Velasco, Mario Parial, and Ramon Orlina.
Visit Artwalk tomorrow and discover the astounding work of our countrymen. To know more about the Smartshop 2013 this September 21-22, visit their Facebook Event Page at https://www.facebook.com/events/138915999646672/
