Honda Donates to Flood Victims

I just love companies who care. This August 10, 2012, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. of Japan, the parent company of the four Honda companies in the Philippines, announced that it will donate ¥1M (about Php 500,000) to families affected by the recent floods that hit the country. Due to the calamity that struck many Filipinos, Honda wanted to give back to the 539,838 families or 2 million Filipinos affected by the heavy floods, which continues to remain a significant economic and political issue in the Philippines.

In addition, Honda Foundation, Inc., the working organization for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of the Honda Group in the Philippines: Honda Philippines, Inc. (motorcycle manufacturer), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (car manufacturer), Honda Parts Manufacturing Corp. (Honda parts supplier), and Honda Trading Philippines, will donate One Million Pesos to help provide aid and assistance to the families and communities devastated by the recent calamity, and also help in disaster recovery and rebuilding efforts.

I hope that other foreign companies would assist during times of distress. Bangon Pinoy! :)
